Student and Nonprofit Licensing


Sync offers student discounts through our student Licensing Program globally. Contact us with any of the following information in order to receive a 50% student discount.
 
You can prove your student status by any of the following methods:
 - Provide a URL from your institution's unrestricted web page or web directory that proves your student status.
 - Attach a scanned copy of your dated student ID, registration receipt, class schedule, school bill, or state-issued homeschool program registration when you order online.
 - Send a copy of your dated student ID, registration receipt, class schedule, school bill, or state-issued homeschool program registration by mail or fax.
 
Sync offers nonprofit pricing discounts through our nonprofit Licensing Program globally. See if your organization is eligible for Resilio Sync nonprofit prices with the below information in order to receive a 50% nonprofit discount, which applies to up to 50 seats. 

Appropriate Identification:
Organizations need to be able to prove their tax-exempt status with current tax documents from their country of residence, as deemed sufficient by Resilio. 

Eligible Organizations:

Nonprofit and non-governmental organizations in the United States must be a qualified 501(c)(3) public charity as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.  Outside the United States, organizations must be qualified or registered as a public charity under the relevant local country’s laws (and where applicable hold a tax exempt certificate), or if no such local laws exist, then organizations must be the equivalent of a U.S. public charity.

Eligible organizations must also operate on a not-for-profit basis and have a mission to benefit the local community that could include, but is not limited to:
  • Providing relief to the poor 
  • Advancing education
  • Improving social and community welfare
  • Preserving culture
  • Preserving or restoring the environment
  • Promoting human rights 


Ineligible Organizations: 
 
The following types of qualified or registered nonprofit customers are ineligible for nonprofit pricing at Resilio:
Organizations that have not obtained recognized charitable status in their country
  • Private foundations
  • Hospitals, clinics, and facilities that provide direct medical care (except FQHCs in the U.S.)
  • Health management systems, HMOs, PPOs, and other healthcare organizations
  • Government-funded research laboratoriesGovernment organizations and agencies, including international governmental organizations and United Nations entities
  • Schools, colleges, and universities
  • Political and lobbyist organizations
  • Labor and fraternal organizations
  • Commerce and trade associations
  • Individuals 

We're currently only able to offer our nonprofit discount program to organizations based in the United States. We will be expanding the scope of our program soon. Nondiscrimination Policy: Organizations that engage in discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training and services, termination, promotion, or retirement based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, political affiliation, union membership, or veteran status other than as allowed by law are not eligible to participate in this program.

Resilio reserves the right to grant or deny an organization's application or participation at any time, for any reason, and to supplement or amend these eligibility guidelines at any time without notice. Selections are made at Resilio's sole discretion and are not subject to external review.
