Sharing files with mobile devices

In Resilio Connect mobile devices can do only Synchronization job and follow the same flow as desktops. They can be added to a group with any level of permissions - either as RW group or RO group, Selective Sync available for both cases.  Selective Sync is very useful for mobiles as they usually have limited storage.

or

Once the job is created, a corresponding folder will appear on Android -  in accordance with path macros or specified custom path; on iOS - in Connect's sandbox.

The folders created with path macros will be empty. To start syncing files, one needs to add the files to these folders. Note, that if a mobile has Read-only access to the folder, there is no option to add files to it.

On Android this can be done using a file manager and file system - just  move/copy wanted files to a created Connect folder. Another option in through Connect UI: open the folder, click on "Add files" icon and pick the wanted files from the system .

On iOS open the folder, tap on "+" icon and pick an app to copy the files from.
Another option is to open the source app, pick a file there and call "Open in.." menu picking Connect as destination.

The files will be indexed and transferred to all other agents. If mobile agents have Selective Sync option enabled, files will not be downloaded until one taps on them.

Downloaded files are marked with a checkmark. To Delete a downloaded file, tap on "i" icon and pick option "Delete". Folders with Selective Sync has also option to Clear the file - revert it back to a placeholder and release storage space.
