Connect Management Console Installation

Together with Management Console a new Management Server Desktop agent will be silently installed and launched on the same computer. This agent's purpose is to ease environment configuration and remove necessity to manually install an agent here.

Windows

Important: prior to installing this build, please uninstall your existing Resilio Connect preview or Sync Pro software!
  1. Open the “resilio-connect-server-windows-x64.msi” file supplied in the delivered package
  2. Follow the installation steps
  3. By default, the Resilio Connect Management Console will be installed into "C:\Program Files\Resilio Connect Server\", registered as a service and started.
  4. Management Console will take care to allow necessary ports in firewall itself if you are using Windows Firewall. Take care to open ports only if you are using a 3rd party firewall.
  5. Open a browser and navigate to https://localhost:8443. Since the Console uses a self-signed SSL certificate, you may see a browser warning. Feel free to ignore it or apply your own certificate.
  6. When prompted by the server, provide a username and enter a new password. Once completed, the Resilio Console will show up in your browser.

All the ports, used NICs, certificates, and other settings can be adjusted by editing the server config file. The Connect Console can be controlled with the srvctrl command.

Linux

Important: prior to installing this build, please uninstall your existing Resilio Connect preview or Sync Pro software!
  1. Extract the downloaded “tar.gz” file to the following location (the btsync binary has permissions to execute by default):
    tar xvf resilio-connect-server-linux-x64.tar.gz -C /opt
  2. Ensure your firewall allows incoming connections to the Connect Management Console ports
  3. Start Resilio Connect from this location by typing:
    /opt/resilio-connect-server/srvctrl start
  4. Open a browser and navigate to https://localhost:8443. Since the Console uses self-signed SSL certificate, you may see a browser warning. Feel free to ignore it or apply your own certificate.
  5. When prompted by the server, provide a username and enter a new password. Once completed, the Connect Console will show up in your browser.

All the ports, used NICs, certificates and other settings can be adjusted via editing the server config file. The Resilio Connect Console can be controlled via the srvctrl command.
